Plants for Health is designed to improve the safety, quality, and reliability of how plants and fungi, or health products derived from them, are studied, manufactured, regulated, and used.
Tools, Information Services and Building CapacityWe are building tools and resources to allow regulators, practitioners, manufacturers, suppliers, traders, and researchers to comprehensively access published information and to exchange data with one another despite their use of alternative names. We also offer partners access to data, tools, and educational resources to support best practices, improve database design, and enhance the quality of data used by health professionals. PurposePlants for Health's information and services will lead to more effective regulation and quality control, greater safety in the use of these products, increased awareness of associated adverse reactions, and better-focused research and development. |
CommunityOur current users work in chemistry, pharmacovigilance, natural product development, nutrition, the regulation of foods, medicines, and cosmetics, as well as ethnobotany, history, and policy development.
